Empathy Jamboree

Ninety-three family members from Boehringer Ingelheim Indonesia employees, Ashoka Fellows, Young Changemakers, Changemakers’ teachers joined in a two-day Empathy Jamboree on 7-8 July 2012 in the hill of Maribaya, Lembang, Bandung. Set in a camping activity, the event is expected for participants to learn how to activate empathy values within their own families in the aims to make their family healthier. Counting on personal stories where ideas can bring about change in the family as well as in the surrounding community, the Empathy Jamboree has facilitated how each family can become a home team to cultivate many more young changemakers for the society. Billtony, one of the BII staff claimed “through the Empathy Jamboree process, our family has communicated more equally and been able to address challenges in the family for something good in the future.”
